Taskers. The new coastal living development is now a Winner of the Master Builders W.A. Excellence in Construction Awards Best Apartment Building 2016.
The Taskers Development currently consists of three residential apartment blocks and eight villas. This award winning residential development is situated between Fremantle’s Indian Ocean coast and Mosman’s mouth of the Swan River in North Fremantle. Residents boast stunning ocean views coupled with premium quality coastal living.
The aluminium window and door systems used are commercial grade selected from our premium window and door suite. This suite is our highest performing suite in Perth which includes door heights above 3 meters, custom hardware options and excellent structural performance.
The glazing in this coastal living environment is grey tinted double glazing. This provides excellent acoustic and thermal results, improving living conditions tenants will experience. Tinted glass will reduce the solar energy transmission and in turn the sun’s glare by absorbing and reflecting. It is also frequently commented to be more visually appealing. The double-glazed make-up will further reduce the solar energy transmission with the use of the air-space and improve acoustic performance.
DGA is proud and thankful to be a part of this highly thought-over, sustainable development.

OLD TREASURY BUILDING PROJECT
- Double Glazed
- Tinted Toughened Glass
- Commercial Framing
- Manufactured In-House
The site of the Old Treasury Building in the heart of Perth, is one of the most significant heritage precincts in Western Australia and has a rich history spanning to over 135 years. Built in 1874 and finally abandoned in 1996, this was Perth’s first ever government office complex. To this day it is still the landmark used to measure distances from Perth to anywhere in the world.
Originally designed by state government architects GT Poole and RR Jewell, the landmark will now be transformed into a premier hospitality centre with restaurants, bars, shops and of course an exclusive hotel. The refurbishment of this building will also retain its original grandeur by protecting its decorative lace and copper work, architectural styles and its overall ‘art deco’ character.
As it is regarded one of the finest Australian Buildings in the 19th century, we were proud to be invited to provide our skills and product knowledge as well as our own double glazing solutions to help achieve this project. The newly completed ‘glass box’ restaurant was manufactured and installed off-site, then transported and crane lifted, unit by unit, into place above the old treasury building. It required toughened double glazed glass for extra strength and acoustic performance.
This refurbishment is a once in a generation opportunity and the viewing of this site should not be missed. Thanks to FJM Property Open House, Perth is unlocking this incredible site for public viewing during this year’s event, presenting a unique opportunity to view the Old Treasury Building as it undergoes transformation.
The team at DGA Windows feel privileged to be involved in this exciting endeavour to improve our brilliant city and look forward to what will be coming next in the future.
